- I am 47 and received my kidney transplant on September 12, 2009 after 3 1/2 years on dialysis. I was on the waiting list 508 days just shy of 17 months. My kidney failure was from PKD. I have a 26 year old daughter, a 23 year old son and a 10 year old granddaughter. I like playing on the computer, reading and being with my kids and granddaughter..
