Hope all goes well for you. No real improvements on my part but no back steps either. Gotta just think of that as a good thing! Keep me posted as to how things are going with the treatments.

Kelly, What happened to you that made you need a liver transplant? We seem to have so much in common? Do you live by yourself? I had hep c and did not know until it had destroyed my liver.

Kelly Rayman replied to Gustavo's discussion 'Marijuana patient denied transplant?'
I came very close to being on of those patients. 6 months prior to my transplant, I started going to NA (Narcotics Annonymous). I got clean right away as this program was what I needed in my life. Besides stoping 28 years of daily marijuana use, I…

Building stamina

After 6 years of being extremely ill, I received a liver transplant on January 14, 09. I have been home for about 8 weeks now but I feel like my recovery is at a stand still. I barely have enough stamina to make myself something to eat. While I realize recover is a long process, I just wondered if some of you who had your transplant years ago could tell me how long it seemed to take you before you felt good again. Thanks, KellySee More

Kelly Rayman replied to Gustavo's discussion 'Do you prefer Prograf or Neoral ?'
While I was still in the ICU recovering from my liver transplant, they gave me prograf. It put me in a comatosed state. I could see, hear and understand everything that was going on around me but could not respond in any way. Couldn't talk,…

I understand about only being able to do so much and then needing to rest. I'm not sure we will ever be back to being robust. :)

When I woke up from my surgery, I could not comprehend what had happened to me. I just thought it was because of all the drugs. I welcome having someone to talk transplants to.
