About Me:: I am 52 or so years old and have been suffering with shoulder pain for over fifteen years. I have been on a waiting list for surgery for the last two years. I finally got the call yesterday for a surgery date. I want nothing less than a replacement. I have been a carpenter all my life. Each year I can do less and less. Now at at the point ,I can't work. I'm on SSI right now. People can and will not believe the pain I am in. Constant pain.

What type of surgery do you need? C/O Shoulder pain do you want a total should joint replacement done? I worked in orthopedics for 11 years. They did a few of the shoulder joints but in my year 1999 they weren't very successful! I am sure if a knee and a hip replacement can be done a shoulder prosthesis should be out there by 2010.
