About Me:: My name is Nicola and in 1976 I was born with half of heart and at the time there was no hope.
However when I was 3 months old I was given my first heart op which I was told would then given till the age of seven but lucky my drugs stop me from grow so by the time I was 11 years old I was only the size of a small five year old it was then I was lucky enough to be put on the Transplant waiting list at Hearfield Hospital it was then 2 year after being on the Transplant waiting list I go the call I had been waiting for on the 16th September and I then know I was going to be given the gift of life that would let me be like everyone that was well and healthy and let me live life to the full.
Well that was nearly 19 years ago and I have been thought some very hard and hurtful time but also I have had lot of wonderful adventures and had some lovely and amazing time.
One the most amazing thing that happened which I was told that would never happen and still to this day no one who has had a Transplant has be able to do it and that was to have a baby but not only did have a baby she was born naturally and that is what has never been done .
I had my baby Megan on the 11th July 1998 and I know she was my second gift in life and she is one of the reason why I carry on and get up in the morning however much pain I am in the morning I know how luckily I am not only being alive but see Megan getting up and live her life to the full.
I meet my husband Neil 13 year and it was only that when I meet him that I really felt a part of this world and he has given everything I could possible ask for and the most he has ever given me support understanding and lots lots of love and he will be forever in my Heart .
